We are open Tuesday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. But even if we are closed you can always leave a message on our phone system or fill out our contact form and someone will get back to you shortly!
We Buy Cars! There are many factors to consider when determining the value of a vehicle including the condition, year, make, model, and location. Fill out our “Junk My Car!” form to get a quote!
The prices of different types of scrap metal are constantly changing. For the most up-to-date pricing, we always recommend filling out our contact form or calling us directly!
You do not need to schedule an appointment to drop off your scrap metal, just bring it in during our business hours and we’ll help with the rest!
Certain items may require special handling, so we do not always pay for them, this includes propane/pressurized tanks or items with refrigerants including refrigerators or air conditioners.
We accept many different types of scrap metal including ferrous and non ferrous metals such as tin, steel, copper, lead, brass, aluminum, electric motors, and more. Check out our scrap metal recycling page to learn more!
We do provide pickup services for scrap metal in larger quantities (several tons of scrap metal). We provide metal dumpsters that can be picked up one time or on a recurring basis depending on your needs.
We do offer Disposal services at a cost for Boats, Campers, Mobile Homes, and more! Contact us to get a quote or learn more about the process for your specific item. We do not accept any hazardous materials including PCB’s, Mercury, Containers of Fluid, or Radioactive Material. If you have questions about what materials may be considered hazardous please contact us!
The value of your scrap metal is determined by how much it weighs. We have two state-certified scales ranging from over 100,000lbs in capacity all the way down a single pound. There is no quantity too large or small we can’t help with.
We buy scrap metal from everyone including in commercial or residential quantities. Scrap metal in quantities below 300lbs can be subject to non-payment.
We do provide metal dumpsters for larger quantities of scrap metal. This can be setup on a one time or recurring basis. Check out our scrap metal dumpster page and scrap metal recycling page to learn more!
The only cost for a scrap metal dumpster is the pickup and drop off fee which we deduct from what we pay you for the metal. To learn more check out our scrap metal dumpsters page and fill out our dumpster form!

Rathe’s salvage was absolutely fantastic to work with. I ran over a nail in there lot with my hydraulic trailer when delivering a boat and they didn’t hesitate to fix it. The guys there were eager and willing to help me unload and were even willing to go under the trailer so I didn’t have to due to the ground being a bit muddy. I would recommend them to anyone! Not to mention the manors! They are polite and respectful. I’m looking forward to working with them again.

Rathe'a metal recycling center is awesome. It is conveniently located close to Burlington and it's hours are very business friendly. . I love that I am able to recycle my old metal waste that my father has collected for 60 years. Added bonus, I get to converse with Regina on the intercom who operates the the weigh scales and checks you in and out. Great service w great people. It doesn't get any better than that.
